Get Started With Our Walsh Protocol Process

  • To get started with our clinic, please submit an appointment request below. After we receive your request, our patient care team will review it and contact you to schedule a virtual new patient consultation, which allows us to support individuals across Canada.

Please note: Dr. Melanie Garrett, ND only works with patients in Alberta Canada. International patients will work with Monica Garcia.

During this consultation, we will evaluate your eligibility for the Walsh protocol, provide you with important introductory information, and issue a blood test requisition.

  • All testing will be conducted through DHA Labs. Blood draws will need to be done locally at Dynalife. For international clients, we will assist in finding a lab capable of collecting the required specimens. Please note that serum tests will need to be shipped with dry ice for proper transport. It’s essential that your blood work is completed before your initial appointment with the practitioner.

Note: Our patient care team will contact you to book your first appointment once the results are received.

  • Your Walsh Protocol appointments will be conducted virtually.

During your initial consultation, one of our Certified Walsh Practitioners will assess your symptoms, concerns, and long-term wellness goals. Prior to your appointment you’ll complete a detailed questionnaire to help us understand your individual needs.

Following the case review, we will determine if the Walsh Protocol is suitable for you and begin developing a personalized treatment plan. This plan will be based on your medical history, symptoms, goals, and lab results, and may include recommendations on nutrition, supplements, lifestyle changes, and stress management. Your treatment plan will be overseen by our team of Naturopathic doctors & registered dieticians.

Once your plan is finalized, your prescriptions or supplement recommendations will be provided.

  • Follow up bloodwork may be required prior to the consult. Please check-in with your patient care coordinator for booking.

  • Yearly checks are required to review blood work and renew any prescriptions. Your yearly appointment is due one year after your last appointment.
