Meet Vanessa

Let me introduce myself! I live on a homestead in Canada with my husband, two daughters, three dogs, a cat, and eleven chickens. Here, I cultivate a large garden brimming with medicinal plants.

My journey into herbal medicine began when my older daughter had a reaction to her vaccinations. This ignited my motherly intuition, prompting me to delve deep into understanding the ingredients we consume, the sources of our food, and the benefits of herbal medicine. I soon became aware of the overwhelming toxin exposure we face daily and its impact on our health.

I'd like to share a a bit about myself, I live in Canada on a Homestead with my husband, two daughters, 3 dogs, 1 cat and 11 chickens where I cultivate a large garden filled with medicine!

My older daughter's reaction to her vaccinations, Sparking my motherly intuition that prompted me to do a deep dive into understanding ingredients in anything we put into our bodies, food sourcing, and herbal medicine. I Know see the overwhelming toxin exposure we encounter daily and its health ramifications.

On our homestead, I incorporate a variety of medicinal plants into my garden. This passion led me to pursue introductory herbalism courses, where I gained the skills to prepare tinctures and salves for the well-being of my family and friends. Currently, I'm furthering my knowledge by studying at Wild Rose College of Herbal Medicine.

Since childhood, I've grappled with persistent upper back issues, particularly on my right side. Despite trying various remedies to alleviate the discomfort, nothing seemed to provide lasting relief. I simply learned to live with the pain until a bio-resonance scan revealed the presence of liver flukes—parasites likely contracted during my upbringing on a cattle farm, where I never underwent a cleanse.

This revelation spurred me to enroll in a detoxing and fasting course at the Energetic Health Institute under Dr. Henele's guidance.. Not only did this experience empower me to detoxify my own family, but it also equipped me with the confidence to assist clients through similar processes.

After cleansing my body, I desired a personalized approach to supplementation. I grew weary of relying on random supplements, so I opted to undergo a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA). The insights gleaned from just a hair sample astonished me. I recognized this as the pivotal step towards achieving balance in my body. Motivated by this realization, I made the decision to get certification through the Clinical HTMA Academy - Institute of Holistic Nutrition and further my understanding in this field.

“Had a session with Melanie - time went by so fast. Needless to say this kind of patient care is what the world needs. Being there and present with the client. Looking at the whole person not the symptoms. Not being a prescribing doc but an investigating doc. We need more of this type of work. Thanks Melanie, you truly have a reason to wake up to every morning!”
